A simple mold (especially a static mold without a core mold) can also be directly used without a plate. Thicker templates will do. The sprue sleeve is generally a standard part, and it is not recommended to cancel it unless there are special reasons. The use of the sprue sleeve is beneficial to the installation of the mold, easy to replace, and no need to polish it yourself. Some special mold sprue bushings can be drilled or cut with a tapered wire. Part of the mold must be statically demoulded, and a static demoulding mechanism must also be added. The structure of the moving mold is generally a moving template, and the moving mold is composed of a plate, a demoulding mechanism, a mold foot and a fixed plate for installation.
In addition to the demoulding lever, the demoulding mechanism also has a return lever, and some molds should be equipped with springs to realize functions such as automatic demoulding. A mold with basic structures such as guide posts, cooling water holes, and runners is essential. Of course, the oblique guide mold and oblique guide box, oblique guide column and so on. When designing a mold for a product, the first thing to do is to set the basic structural dimensions of the mold to prepare materials in order to speed up mold manufacturing. For complex products, product drawings should be drawn first, and then the mold size should be set. The current molds basically require heat treatment to increase the hardness of the mold and improve the service life of the mold. Before heat treatment, the first preliminary processing of the formwork: drilling guide post holes, return water holes (moving mold), cavity holes, screw holes, gate bushing holes (moving mold) cooling water holes, milling runners, mold The cavity and some molds should also mill the inclined guide box. The common precision mold templates generally use CR12, CR12MOV and some professional mold steels. The hardness of cr12 should not be too high, and it often cracks at HRC60 degrees. The commonly used template hardness is generally HRC55 degrees. Core hardness can reach above HRC58. If the material is 3Cr2w8v, the surface hardness should be nitriding after manufacture. The hardness should be above HRC58, and the nitrided layer should be as thick as possible.
The gate is directly related to the aesthetics of the plastic part. If the gate design is not good, it is easy to produce defects. In the absence of any obstacles, it is easy to create a snake flow. For products with higher requirements, overflow and exhaust should also be designed. You can use a push rod for the overflow, and there should be no overflow on the template, so as not to affect the life of the mold.
